Long the standard of the Home brewing hobby; this fine 40 quart (10 gallon) American made Polar Ware brew pot features high grade deep-drawn 18-8 gauge stainless steel construction (.036 inch thickness), and a stainless steel 1/2" NPT ball valve which screws onto a welded 1/2 inch male NPT male pipe outlet in the pot bottom. The center of the valve to the outside bottom of the pot is merely 1.08 inches, making it simple to drain. This male nipple outlet also is threaded on the inside with 1/2 inch female NPT threads, so you can attach a Zymico Bazooka Screen or other item to the inside of the pot. Also provided is a 1/2 inch female pipe thread welded fitting (shipped sealed with a threaded stainless plug) 5 inches up from the bottom for an optional Mashing Thermometer. A stainless steel false bottom is also available as an option for the brewer who wants to turn this pot into a mash tun.
