We here at Green Gourd Creations are proud to say that we grow many of our gourds ourselves organically, however we do buy some from our local North Carolina farmers .
After the growing season has ended, our gourds are left on the vine until the vine has died. They are then removed from the vine and hung to dry for almost a year.
When gourds are fully dried they are then scraped, cleaned & once again hung to dry.
At this point they are now ready to be painted. All our gourds are given a clear coating which will protect them for many years to come.
The finished product may be for indoor or outdoor use.
