This is a Green Gourd original design. These lovely ladies have been made from Chinese bottle gourds and pear gourds. They sport a yellow and purple polka-dot bikini to complement their gourd-jus figure. They have red hair and green eyes.
I grow most of the smaller & ornamental gourds at my home. It is generally a one year process. After the growing season is over they are collected and dried until the following year. Once they have fully dried they are then scraped, cleaned and then dried again. Now the gourd is ready for painting. After the gourd has been painted it is given a protective clear coating. At this point all the gourds are protected against the elements and may be used indoors or outdoors. All pieces are signed and dated.
