The level of musical accompaniment required for Irish step-dancing has become demanding in recent years. This is due to the continuing development of dancing, the innovations introduced and the increased intricacy of the steps being performed. The spectacular level of dancing seen nowadays requires, to be seen at its best, a corresponding level of quality from musicians, not only in the variety of tunes required but also in the ability to provide strict tempo as stipulated for competitive dancing. This CD presents the work of three very talented young musicians, whose services are much in demand all over the world. Not only is the music in this production of the highest quality; it is also played in the tempo required for the various grades of dancers.
