The official 10-coin United States Mint Proof Set for 2001 includes all five proof quarters issued under the 50 State Quarters Program for 2001, plus the proof Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Kennedy half-dollar and Golden Dollar.

The blanks are then fed into presses fitted with hand-polished dies and struck at least twice to ensure sharp, high relief.
