One of the first things that occurs to the expectant mother is the realization that her skin is going to have to stretch in the tummy area to accommodate that precious new life.    It can cause dismay when one’s acquaintances start talking about "stretch marks" -- Until now most of the advice deals with cocoa butter rubbed on the tummy. You can end up smelling like a greasy chocolate bar.

We have a wonderful product that far exceeds the benefits of cocoa butter. Mothers’ Choice Tummy Balm, comes in a 3" x 1" screw type container.    One tube should last about 6 months. The formula of oils, waxes and butters contained in the tube consists of some of the finest emollients found for keeping the skin lubricated and stretchable so it has a better chance to return to a nice smooth tummy with little or no stretch marks. Many of our customers use it for their cuticles as well.

Good skin care for a pregnancy begins with use of: 1) our Mothers’ Choice Soap - one of our finest glycerin soaps, 2) and a fine vegetable oil based lotion applied all over the body and 3) the finishing touch of the special Mothers’ Choice Tummy Balm.

1. Careful skin care begins with using our Mothers’ Choice Soap - you can find it in the Vegetable soap section. It is a vegetable based soap containing the finest oils to provide your skin with a preparation for the coming months.    It contains oils of olive, coconut, soybean, almond, apricot, palm and shea butter and silk. When the soap mixture begins to saponify, we add finely ground oats to help the skin not itch, Jojoba oil to help simulate the skin’s natural sebum and encourage elasticity, liquid silk, Vitamin E and evening primrose oil (again, it helps to prevent itching).

2. All of our lotions are excellent for your body. Smooth the lotion lightly all over your body.    Remember, your skin is your largest organ and needs to be fully nourished for this big task of carrying a baby.    As we make each new batch on a go forward basis we will be adding liquid silk to them. Look for the lotions that contain silk if you want to feel smoother.

3. The final touch for your skin care is to take out our applicator containing the Mothers’ Choice Tummy Balm and lightly rub the balm over the tummy area. This balm contains almond oil, shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, mango butter, Vitamin E, liquid silk and evening primrose oil.
