Terry LeBlanc, My People International, Spirituality, at least the difference in understanding spirituality, lies at the heart of the many challenges which have characterized Native and Western spiritual contact. In a simplistic statement of the problem, the dualism that has typically characterized Western religious practice has grated against the holism characteristic of Native spiritual understanding. Finding a way to understand and accommodate the difference is an important aspect of making the Jesus Way the Native way.
