PLEASE REMEMBER: Interchangeable bracelets are optional, additional bracelets which provide customers the opportunity to own a wardrobe of one-of-a-kind, lovely bracelets to attach to their medical tags or medical charms. Interchangeable bracelets are priced less than medical alert bracelets and, accordingly, do not include medical tags or medical charms.

Purchasers of silver medical alert bracelets, silver medical alert anklets, two-toned silver and gold medical alert bracelets and two-toned silver and gold medical alert anklets may select from three attractive stainless steel medical alert tags, an anodized metal medical alert charm or a stainless steel medical alert charm. These medical tags and medical charms are denoted as “FREE” or priced at "$0.00".
Purchasers of gold medical alert bracelets and gold medical alert anklets have a choice of two striking 24K gold-filled medical alert tags and one 24K gold-filled medical alert charm. These medical tags and medical charm are denoted as “FREE” or priced at "$0.00".
IF ORDERING A MEDICAL BRACELET WITH A MEDICAL ALERT TAG OR MEDICAL ALERT CHARM, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES:
(1) Sizing. Prior to selecting a medical alert bracelet or medical alert anklet, it is important to provide us with an accurate size per our SIZING GUIDELINES: Wrap a soft tape measurer snugly (but not to the point where you cut off your blood flow) around your wrist or ankle, then take that number and ADD one-half inch. For example, if your actual wrist size or ankle size is 8”, then your medical bracelet or medical anklet size is 8.5” (see chart below). Providing your size per our SIZING GUIDELINES will ensure that you receive a properly-fitting medical bracelet or medical anklet.

Do not base your size on a bracelet or anklet you own. Do not measure using the “string method.” Both of these techniques will result in wrong sizes.
Please do not provide a full bracelet size when ordering an interchangeable bracelet for a medical alert tag. Read our SIZING GUIDELINES for measuring interchangeable bracelets and interchangeable anklets.
Please take a few minutes to obtain your correct size and do not “guestimate.” If you submit an incorrect size and would like us to resize the medical alert bracelet or medical alert anklet, there is a $20.00 re-sizing fee to cover extra materials and postage. If Alert Medical Bracelets incorrectly sizes the medical bracelet, medical anklet or interchangeable bracelet, there is no charge for re-sizing.
(2) Select a medical alert bracelet or medical alert anklet. Because we offer an extensive selection of both silver medical alert bracelets and gold medical alert bracelets, we have divided the silver medical bracelets and gold medical bracelets into two separate categories:
SILVER MEDICAL BRACELETS AND ANKLETS; and
GOLD MEDICAL BRACELETS AND ANKLETS.
As well as silver interchangeable bracelets and gold interchangeable bracelets:

By all means, don’t base your decision to purchase on a thumbnail image. Click on the name or picture of the medical bracelet or medical anklet, which will provide a description of the medical bracelet or medical anklet, a small photo of the item, available options, matching jewelry (if any) and price. Be sure to click “View Larger Image” so you can see a photo that will most closely resemble the medical bracelet or medical anklet in person. Once you make a decision, click “Add to Cart.”

TO SELECT A MEDICAL TAG OR MEDICAL CHARM, after adding a medical alert bracelet and/or medical alert anklet to your shopping cart:
A. Click “Continue Shopping”.
B. Click “Medical ID Tags and Charms” (right-hand column).
C. Select a medical alert tag or medical alert charm of your choice
(you are not limited to the medical tag or medical charm displayed with the bracelet or anklet).
D. Provide engraving information.
E. Proofread engraving information.
F. Add the medical tag or medical charm to your shopping cart.
Proceed to check-out or continue shopping to purchase interchangeable bracelets, interchangeable anklets or other medical alert bracelets or medical alert anklets. It is not uncommon for customers to purchase both a silver medical alert bracelet and gold medical alert bracelet.
(3) Medical alert tags and medical alert charms. After adding your medical bracelet or medical anklet to your shopping cart, click “continue shopping”, then, in the right-hand column, click “Medical ID Tags and Charms”.
Included with a silver medical alert bracelet, silver medical alert anklet, two-toned silver and gold medical alert bracelet or two-toned silver and gold medical alert anklet are your choice of three different styles of stainless steel medical alert tags, a stainless steel medical alert charm or an anodized metal medical alert charm.
Our most popular, and recommended, stainless steel medical alert tag is the “petite” medical alert tag, which has plenty of space for engraving. Due to its small size, you receive more of a bracelet than medical tag.
For those who require more engraving, the long stainless steel medical alert tag or wide stainless steel medical alert tag will accommodate your needs.
Our stainless steel medical alert tags have a shiny finish, but the camera does not adequately capture that feature. If you desire a more defined high-polished finish, you may select that option for an additional $7.00.
The anodized metal medical alert charm is approximately the size of a quarter. Engraving will be done on your choice of a black, white or red plastic disk permanently affixed to the back of the anodized metal medical alert charm.
Unless you are allergic to stainless steel, there is no need to spend extra money on a sterling silver medical alert charm because our stainless steel medical alert charm is identical to the sterling silver medical alert charm.
The difference between the anodized metal medical alert charm and the stainless steel medical alert charm is weight: the anodized metal medical charm is much lighter, which is sometimes best for a bracelet.
If ordering a gold medical alert bracelet, you may choose from two different 24K gold-filled medical alert tags: the “small” 24K gold-filled medical ID alert tag (which is a “tad” larger than our stainless steel “petite” medical tag) and the “wide” 24K gold-filled medical alert tag. Both 24K gold-filled medical alert tags come with a gold medical alert bracelet or gold medical alert anklet.
Or, you can select a 24K gold-filled medical alert charm, with or without red fill in the internationally-recognized medical caduceus emblem.
All of the above medical tags and medical charms are included in the price of a medical alert bracelet or medical alert anklet.
UPGRADING MEDICAL ALERT TAGS AND MEDICAL ALERT CHARMS: For those wishing to upgrade their medical alert tag or medical alert charm, we have a beautiful selection of sterling silver medical alert tags and sterling silver medical alert charms (including our popular sterling silver heart-shaped medical alert charm (with your choice of PINK or red fill). The double "helping hearts" caduceus medical emblem is available for an additional $5.00.
Prices for “optional” or “upgraded” medical alert tags and medical alert charms are discounted to include the cost of a free medical alert tag. For example, sterling silver medical alert tags priced at $50.00 actually cost $85.00 (depending upon the prices of the gold and silver markets at the time of purchase). Alert Medical Bracelets follows the gold and silver markets daily to ensure you receive fair market price, along with our wholesale discount.
All medical alert tags and medical alert charms (except medical alert charms for anklets) are interchangeable. You can affordably accumulate a wardrobe of medical bracelets and/or medical anklets to match different outfits or to give as gifts to friends or family members who wear medical alert bracelets. Interchangeable bracelets are priced less because they do not include a medical tag or medical charm.
NOTE: Medical alert charms for medical anklets are not interchangeable because the charm hangs too low and can get caught under the heel of your foot. However, the majority of our clients order a medical alert tag for their medical anklets, which is a sharp accessory.
(4) Caduceus Medical Emblem. For a medical alert tag, select a caduceus medical emblem. Alert Medical Bracelets offers many exclusive options: raised red, raised light blue, raised pink, raised lavender, engraved on the medical tag or engraved on the medical tag with red fill. For an additional $5.00, select the double "helping hearts" emblem. View samples of each medical emblem under the “Petite Stainless Steel Medical Tag.”
(5) Engraving for the front of medical alert tag. If you opt to have your name engraved on the front of the medical tag in a “script” font, no medical information can be engraved on the front. However, at your request, we can include the word “over” in small print at the bottom of the front of the medical alert tag along with your name in script. If you want your name in print on the front, we can also include medical information.
(6) Engraving for the back of the medical alert tag or medical alert charm. Engraving on the reverse side of the medical alert tag is done in a block print font, and should include your medical condition(s), routine medication(s), emergency contact(s), and any other information you or your physician deem necessary.
Each medical alert tag and medical alert charm has a convenient template for the number of lines and characters per line allowed for engraving. Each template gives the MAXIMUM allowable characters per line. Please do not try to squeeze engraving information on the medical tag or medical charm by omitting spaces, letters or punctuation, or creating abbreviations that no one but you will know what they mean.
Prior to checking out, CAREFULLY PROOFREAD YOUR ENGRAVING INFORMATION. Although we and the engraver proofread the engraving text you submit, we are limited to confirming medical information. We are unable to confirm phone numbers, unusual medical conditions and/or names and addresses. Also, be extremely careful with the spelling of medications. Many medications have similar names but are entirely different. Double-check your medication vial or contact your physician or pharmacist.
The order in which medical information appears on a medical alert tag or medical alert charm is not crucial. What is important is that all the medical information appears in a clear and readable format so emergency personnel do not have to struggle to read it. 99.9 percent of the time medical information is engraved exactly as requested by the client. However, the engraver reserves its right and experience to place the engraving in a clear and readable format. We do not accept returns of medical alert tags or medical alert charms if the engraving doesn’t appear in a particular order.

(7) Matching Earrings. Alert Medical Bracelets™ offers matching earrings for our medical alert jewelry. Earrings are optional, but many of our clients request matching earrings. Prices for matching earrings are deeply discounted if the earrings are purchased at the same time you purchase your medical ID alert bracelet, medical ID alert anklet or interchangeable bracelet or interchangeable anklet.
If you want matching earrings but matching earrings are not displayed with the medical alert bracelet, medical alert anklet or interchangeable bracelet or anklet you wish to purchase, either view our Earrings page to see if there is a pair of matching earrings there or send us an E-MAIL or call 1-954-525-6995, 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., daily, Eastern time, and we will design earrings to match your medical alert bracelet, medical alert anklet and/or interchangeable bracelet or interchangeable anklet, and add the discounted price to your order prior to processing your credit card.
(8) Gifts. All medical alert jewelry arrives with a beautiful jewelry pouch. Let us know if the medical alert bracelet, medical alert anklet or interchangeable bracelet or interchangeable anklet is a gift and whether you wish us to handle gift wrapping and shipment. Your options for gift packaging are: jewelry pouch, wrapped gift box or unwrapped gift box. If selecting a wrapped gift box, please state in the Message to Merchant section on the check-out form the occasion: birthday, anniversary, holiday (stating which holiday) gift or “no special reason”. You also have the option to enclose a gift card and include a hand-written note on the card.
Also indicate whether we should include a packing invoice. We can mail the packing invoice and credit card receipt separately to the purchaser.
Unlike other vendors of medical alert jewelry, we do not charge for gift-wrapping or gift cards; however, because gift boxes are larger and weigh more than a package with a jewelry pouch, shipping costs will be slightly higher.
