Flame Thrower Performance Coils
When your goal is a great spark, every component in the ignition system is important. Don’t let your coil be the "weak link." To maximize energy and increase reliability over the entire ROM range, choose from the Pertronix family of Flame Thrower coils.
Canister style oil filled coils are available in chrome or black. Black epoxy filled coils are also available for high vibration conditions. The black oil filled coil is perfect for those enthusiasts who want the benefits of high voltage, but want to maintain that "stock look." Simply remove the Flame Thrower decal for that original look with unparalleled performance. If you want more of a "show car look." then you might want one of the chrome coils.
The Flame Thrower 40,000 volt coil is designed for use with our original Ignitor and can be used with other inductive ignition systems.
The Flame Thrower II 45,000 volt coil is a super low 0.6 ohm resistance coil designed for use with Pertronix Ignitor II units and is compatible with capacitive discharge systems
