~~~About the Artist~~~

Originally from Stuart,Florida,Steve J. Harris has always lived on the water and made the ocean his second home. He now resides in Cocoa Beach,Florida. As an accomplished artist at an early age, hecaptured the allure of the sea making it one of his trademarks. Upon graduating from Ft.Lauderdale Art Institute with a degree in Commercial Art, Steve spent numerous years in South Florida in advertising,graphic illustration, and framing often winning awards and industry recognition. Many homes,hotels and restaurant walls in these areas contain his outstanding and conversational murals. In the fall of 1996 Steve moved to Cocoa Beach where he established Studio 19 and focused on doing fine art paintings. Drawing from his knowledge and experience of the ocean,while primarily a sea life illustrator,Steve also is adept at executing any wide variety of topics,styles,and mediums. From paintings that are real to the profound,Steve has found audiences captured by his artistry.
