After a nursing career, Alissa decided it was time to return to her creative side. She began by taking classes through the local crafts council. Ceramics, jewelry and painting were all fun but just didn’t quite hit the mark, until she took a beginner stained glass course.. She was intrigued by the colors and brilliance of the glass and was eager to incorporate jewelry into her creations. After more classes to advance her expertise as an artist Alissa quickly advanced from hobbyist to serious artist and began exhibiting at craft and art shows. In 2005 she and her husband built a studio as she had outgrown their dining room table and she has continually expanded her designs and color selections.
