Piper nigrum
Origin: India
No, it doesn't smell like the black pepper you use to season your food and it won't make you sneeze! It has a fresh, warm & spicy scent.
Black pepper essential oil is useful for warming you up, muscular aches/pains, poor circulation, sprains, stiffness, etc. You get the picture.
One of my personal favorite blends is equal parts of black pepper, ginger and clove. It is the best way to beat the winter chills!
Other blends to try: Bergamot, Clove, Frankincense, Geranium, Ginger, Lavender, Juniper, Lemongrass, Myrrh, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Tea Tree, Ylang Ylang.
PS. If you have a chill, open up your bottle of black pepper eo and take a few sniffs. It really will warm you up.
