We all miss Al. His death was a huge loss for the Uechi community. Although his physical condition (due to a terrible accident he had years earlier) didn't allow him to perform his kata and other Uechi elements in the same way as most of us, he adapted the style to allow him to perform everything with the self-defense skills and effectiveness as the most talented of students.
